Facial recognition

If you want to swim in our indoor and outdoor pool, you can easily and quickly enter using facial recognition!
You pass through a gate where a camera scans your face, allowing you to enter immediately.
 
To gain access, you just need to complete a few simple steps in advance!
 
 

What do you need to do?

1. go to ‘mijn Scheldeoord’ (mijnscheldeoord.nl), log in with the details you received after making your reservation and make sure that your entire travel group is entered under ‘my details’ and ‘my travel companions’.
2. take a selfie of each person in the travel group and upload it by clicking on the pencil behind the person in question. Add the selfie, first click on ‘example’ and then on ‘save’. Make sure it is a clear selfie, on which your entire face can be seen!
3. When you have uploaded the selfies before arrival, you only need to look into the camera at the access gate at the indoor and outdoor pool and you can enter! No more separate cards that can be forgotten, but direct and quick access!

How does it work?

At the entrance of both the indoor and outdoor pools there is an access gate with a camera. If you want to go swimming, you must look into this camera for facial recognition.

If you have been successfully recognized, the gate will open automatically and you can walk straight through. Your face is your card!
 

With facial recognition, a computer program measures a number of facial recognition points of the face using a photo. If these features are the same as the features that were previously stored (based on a previously made selfie), the face is recognized.
 
In order to create a unique encrypted profile, a template is made of your facial recognition points. In a few seconds, the unique points are recorded and converted into a unique encrypted profile. This encrypted code cannot be traced back to a real face.
 
The encrypted code is stored in a secure digital safe. All data is stored in the Netherlands, strictly secured and provided with high encryption.
 
Good to know:
The (strictly secured) data is automatically deleted one day after departure.

    

(Day)visitor

Do you have visitors who want to swim? You can buy a day ticket at the reception desk for €7. This is then a ticket for both the indoor and outdoor pool. Taking a selfie is not necessary for this!
 

Overnight guest

If you have an overnight guest, please register them at the reception desk. You will pay the guest rate of 7 euros per person per night (+ tourist tax) on a campsite pitch and 10 euros for extra bed linen  (+ tourist tax) in a rental accommodation. This includes access to the swimming pools. Taking a selfie of the guest is not necessary, they will receive a day ticket from us.

 

Data and system

For facial recognition, we work with our supplier Easysecure, a specialist in the field of access control and ISO 27001 and Data Pro certified. Easysecure works with the software of IdentySoft that is hosted in the data centers of Cyso. Cyso is both ISO 20000, ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified. The IdentySoft servers are divided over 3 geographically separated tier4 data centers in the Netherlands. The system is used by our campside for access control of the swimming pool.  More about Privacy & Security.
